Right after Christmas we were able to get away for a couple of days. Back in September we had planned to go to Vernon so the kids could experience "snow" for Christmas at SilverStar Mountain. Well, we figured getting away to snow was a little redundant so we chose the closer and safer option of going to Vancouver. We had a wonderful time and managed to enjoy a clear, snowless/rainless day. First we went and saw the Polar Express in Imax 3D at Canada Place. For anyone who has seen Polar Express you can imagine how awesome it would be in 3D. It was great and I think Marc and I enjoyed it as much...if not more than the kids.
After a good meal on the way back to our hotel, we headed to the pool and Marc and I watched as our kids swam and had a great time. I think it was just enough to tire them out as putting them to bed in the hotel was pretty easy.
Here was the view from our hotel. We were on the 15th floor and we had a balcony so Marc stood outside in the cold for a while and took lots of pictures. This was my favourite. We had a wonderful get-away and I love my family and the opportunities we have to do special things together.

I love Vancouver's lights! The pictures are great...I just looked at your album on Facebook. And, I'm so jealous that you saw Polar Express in 3D!!! I LOVE that movie...more than my kids. I think it's Yuri and my favorite Christmas movie. Glad you had a great time with your family.
Those are great pics Hil. I'm so glad that you guys had an awesome time. You always seem to do some really cool things together as a family.
