Yesterday after church we decided to have some lunch and then go for a walk. Marc and I both went to camp as kids and we have been thinking about sending Hannah to Stillwood this summer so we thought we'd drive up and take a look (Hannah and Marc had never seen it before). We walked around a bit and Hannah got a sense of what it would be like. I think she is pretty excited so I guess we had better register her soon and put the plan in motion.
After Stillwood we drove back to Cultus Lake and walked around. It was such a beautiful afternoon you would never know it was January. I was wearing a vest and was perfectly warm enough without a jacket. Of course Marc had his camera along so he took a bunch of pictures. I wanted him to take some of the two of us but with kids jumping in and out of the picture it was quite hilarious. Here is one of my favourite outakes. Obviously it is a lousy picture, but I love Ben and how his personality shines through in this picture.

Happy New Year!
Sorry it has taken me so long to post but during Christmas break I really didn't have any desire to sit in front of a computer. Rather than have me write a big huge paragraph of what we did, I think I'll just post a bunch of pictures instead. This above picture is on Christmas eve before we went to church. Pretty good looking kids if I do say so myself.
This was after church and we all sat down to watch Polar Express together. The kids were feeling rather snugly at this point.
Here we were enjoying our Christmas Eve Fondue. Gotta love chocolate and caramel!
This was Christmas morning after opening presents. Everyone was in a very thankful mood.
On boxing day we decided to go ice-skating with Marc's family before having Turkey Dinner. It was a great time.
The week prior we went to Van Dusen Gardens in Vancouver to enjoy the lightshow. It was so much better than last year as the weather was perfect and we didn't have to worry about slipping into icebanks or anything.
Which leaves me with showing you our more artistic side to Christmas. Above is the Bergen choir. We each made ourselves but Marc got a little more realistic than the rest of us.
Here are our decorated cookies. We love doing this every year. I think we are getting better at it as well.
And our lovely gingerbread house. I don't think we could have put more candy on this if we tried.
So that's pretty much it. We had a great two weeks and I can't believe we are already into 2010. I'm very excited about what will happen this year. I feel like it's going to be a great one!
